We’ve all been there. Getting up in the morning starting your day off with the beloved protein shake, putting on the new gym gear that you bought the other week but haven’t removed from it’s bag yet and driving yourself to the gym pumping the loudest beats.

Ready to go for your first Personal Training session until… SUDDENLY, there he/she is, radiating from the other side of the gym walking towards you.  You’re thrown off guard and you immediately start to over-think and question everything. “Do these tights show off my legs well!?”, “Have I put enough deodorant on!?”. Your personal trainer needs to be aware of your undeniable loyalty.

This is the prime opportunity to get out that camera and get gramming. Progress photos, Calvin Klein sophisticated underwear shots and summer bikini/short photos are a MUST. Get creative with your food posts! Take at least 10 minutes before actually beginning to eat your meal, to get that perfect smoothie bowl angle and filter. Show them how organically and clean you are eating, sticking to your perfect diet!

Tagging is VITAL as they need to be aware of what amazing work they have done for you to achieve the body you have to this day. Bonus: you can even sneak in some cheeky tags on those beloved fitness and diet memes, show them your fun-loving comedic side.


Knowledge is Power


Now lets think about this logically. On average you would get a PT session perhaps 1 – 2 times a week which means only 2 hours out of their 168 hour week! Practically nothing, and we all know that personal time builds the strongest connections. So how do you get that valuable bonding time? Easy, find out their timetable. Make sure to know when they will be attending their favourite classes at the gym and have a spot saved ready next to them. Know when they have their other personal training’s booked so you can sneak in the odd questions “Oh, I know you’re busy at the moment but can you pretty please remind me how to use this machine!?”. Knowledge of their schedule is everything. If you want to go above and beyond, and be a star performer, you can even look into their out of gym routine. Favourite cafes, hang out spots and then ‘coincidentally’ bump into them.


So ladies and gentlemen, following these 4 key steps will undoubtedly get you that date and given time, wedding proposal. But no, in full seriousness as foolproof as this plan may seem; cliche and traditional as this sounds, the best way of getting anyone’s attention is to simply be yourself. Trying to follow a trend, or change who you are will never portray the real you. It’s hard with so many societal pressures, especially on social media, to have the perfect body and look and act a certain way. In truth, the only way to shine through is to confidently and unapologetically strut your stuff and be proud of your beauty and uniqueness. Be a fool for no one, make them respect your intelligence.
